An ESL tutor is dedicated to providing students with the appropriate options and courses they’ll need to develop their language skills. Language can be a challenging subject, so our highly qualified tutors are here to help students. We believe that a student’s success is dependent on an appropriate attitude, serious commitment, and the right assistance.

Our Options

Our certified teachers can provide subject-specific help for students grade K-12 and fully support the common core standards.

Our tutors follow strict CDC guidelines; sessions can be in person (either at your home or at the local library) or virtual and start at $60 per hour.

On-call tutors are available for a 2 hr session within 24 hours to help with any “emergency” help.

Both virtual and in-person options available. $130 (2 hours – 1 session)

Course Information

Naturalization Test Preparation

During your naturalization interview, a USCIS officer will ask you questions about your application and background. At this time you will also take a naturalization test which is made up of two components, an English and civics test. The civics test is an oral test and the USCIS Officer will ask the applicant up to 10 of the 100 civics questions. An applicant must answer 6 out of 10 questions correct­ly to pass the civics portion of the naturalization test. The reading test. The USCIS official will present you with three sentences. You will choose one to read out loud. The writing test is quite similar to the reading test. The USCIS official will read three sentences
out loud. You must write one of them mostly correctly to pass.

The Civics Course Covers:

Geography and Culture: The fifty states, Washing­ton D.C., and the United States territories. Bodies of water and American borders. The American flag, National landmarks and Holidays in America.

American History: Colonial America, The Revolu­tionary War, The thirteen colonies, Westward ex­pansion, The Civil War, WWI, WWII.

Growing Pains: Suffrage, The American Civil Rights movement, The Cold War, September 11th and the war on terror.

American Government: The legislative branch, The executive branch, The judicial branch, The Constitu­tion, The Bill of Rights, Political parties, Your gov­ernment and you.

The English Test Covers:

The English test has three components: reading, writing, and speaking . We will cover the specific vocabulary list promulgated for each section.

Schedule & Tuition

Each session is an hour and a half.

Once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks.

6:30 – 8:00PM weekdays

or

10:30 AM – 12:00 Saturdays

$65 per hour

or

$80 per hour
